Overview

The position reports into Data Engineering, as part of the IT team. The Product Manager works closely with various business stakeholders, external product owners and product managers and / or Key Stakeholder to manage the product backlog, understand priorities, and should be able to provide all necessary details for the development team to achieve their sprint goals effectively and efficiently. This position supports the Data Integration Services team, responsible for effectively managing the development and support of all data integration solutions to Rotary products and non-Rotary vendor products at Rotary International.

You Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with design and development of APIs/Microservices
  • Experience with middleware integration architectures such as event based and platforms such Azure Event Grid
  • Experience working with offshore development and testing teams
  • Experience introducing new IT capabilities
  • Experience maturing existing IT capabilities by establishing repeatable processes and procedures

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Defining new APIs and microservices; processes and procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Transitioning mature services to the most optimal sourcing model ensuring that quality and service levels are maintained
  • Manage staff resources effectively, conducting performance evaluations, developing professional development plans, tracking team performance, making improvements/adjustments to optimize team productivity
  • Strategize, build and implement product roadmaps in collaboration with other product managers (external and internal)
  • Ensuring services delivered in support of projects are being delivered on time and with quality and are meeting the needs of the product and project teams
