The Opportunity: Product Analyst, Experience

FreshBooks is looking for a Product Analyst, Experience to join our growing Analytics team in Toronto. In this role, You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to support data-driven strategic thinking at FreshBooks.

You will derive insights from our product and usage data that allow us to improve the customer experience. The right person for the job is a strong problem solver with a knack for translating data into insights.

What you’ll do:

  • Use data to help the product team develop their strategic priorities
  • Conduct analyses to uncover key insights, recommendations, and opportunities.
    • Use your SQL skills to perform complex joins and gather the data you need.
    • Filter, clean, and transform the data as needed
    • Use statistical techniques to analyze and explore the data
    • Interpret and communicate key findings clearly and accurately
    • Create dashboards to report on core performance metrics
      • Consult directly with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, scope & execute
      • Execute analyses to understand the customer experience
        • Assist the Product team in developing UX based Goals, Signals and Metrics
        • Work with Product Managers and Designers to develop A/B testing strategies
        • Analyze the behaviour of customers as they use the product, features, and platforms
        • Derive insights into the performance of new feature launches
        • Ensure the accuracy of both the data and deliverables

        What you have:

        • Advanced knowledge of SQL & Python/R or similar
        • 1-3 years in data analytics and/or business intelligence
        • Knowledge of sampling and A/B testing
        • Quantitative background with strong analytical skill set
        • Experience using a dashboarding tool such as Looker (plus), Tableau, etc.
        • Excellent communicator who can explain complex concepts in simple, easy-to-understand terms
        • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
        • Knowledge of Google Analytics (or a similar web analytics tool)
