THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Data is a critical part of our product development process and Product Analysts are the chief advocates. We are looking for a Product Analytics Manager who can quickly jump in and make an impact on the digital experience of our advertising partners in one of our advertising tech product teams at Zalando Marketing Services and lead our team of embedded Product Analysts.

By joining our team, you will become an integral part of Zalando Marketing Services’ product development, gaining the opportunity to work across our entire portfolio of ad products and lead data-driven strategic initiatives.

These strategic projects come with exposure to senior leadership while working with cross-functional partners across Zalando to solve some of the biggest problems our ad platform faces.

You will work cross-functionally and help steer the direction of planning and review meetings, driving conversational development and being a role model for collaborative relationship building. Leading our embedded analysts, you will scale your impact by helping our analysts achieve impact, success and growth.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Lead and navigate through complex projects, directly manage a team of product analysts, recruit and retain top talent, and cultivate an inclusive team culture that promotes innovation.
  • Be a thought leader within the team and within the company, providing guidance and mentoring to others, and driving the adoption of best practices throughout the pipeline.
  • Challenge and contribute to product and roadmapping decisions based on insights from you and the team
  • Define the key performance metrics for the company and our teams to judge and monitor product performance, while helping set realistic goals and expectations for our product initiatives
  • Driving requirements to our A/B testing and experimentation platform while advising in the set-up of A/B Tests for new features and business opportunities
  • Develop an in-depth analytical understanding of what drives the usage and performance of advertising products
  • Give (analytical) evidence supporting decisions to do certain things – from discovery to roll out

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You are experienced in a data-intensive analytics role such as in Digital Analytics, Product Analytics or Business Intelligence, preferably in e-commerce or marketing with 7+ years experience.
  • Boasting at least 3 years in leadership positions, you are adept at managing diverse teams
  • You have excellent project and stakeholder management skills with the ability to independently drive complex projects
  • You have great communication skills with a clear understanding of how to translate findings into a meaningful story and communicate data clearly to a wider audience
  • You have strong knowledge of A/B testing best practices and/or quasi-experimental analysis methodologies, preferably with experience developing company solutions
  • You have strong knowledge of e-commerce and marketing KPIs and how they can be defined and have lead large (company-wide) initiatives to drive success toward KPI goals
  • You are experienced in setting up data pipelines and dashboards (preferred experience in distributed data processing such as Databricks)
  • You are experienced with advanced analytics and statistical software languages (R or Python)
  • You have strong knowledge of SQL
  • You are experienced in tracking (i.e. definitions and implementation) and analysis of onsite user behavior
