The Infrastructure & Services Procurement team is responsible for supporting a variety of indirect procurement activities across Devonport Royal Dockyard, including professional services, major & minor construction works and maintenance. The team is about to embark on a transformation programme with the inception of a new framework contract targeting :£130M of spend over the next 5 years.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to establish project requirements and matching to the most suitable procurement route.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the delivery of project objectives through the rigorous management of contract and supplier performance
  • Assuring Supplier Performance to time, cost and quality for contract requirements against scope of supplier responsibility.
  • Work with other teams within the business to ensure procurement and commercial engagement is at the fore.
  • Co-ordinate the process for tendering of work by Contractors & Consultants, ensure tender documents are prepared and dispatched to organisations invited to tender, and subsequent submissions are managed professionally up to and beyond including commitment for order placement

The Experience You’ll Bring

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • MCIPS or equivalent professional qualifications, preferred but can accept without if experience warrants
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role but can consider candidates with some experience in relevant industry area looking for next move
  • Experienced procurement practitioner with knowledge of current strategic procurement techniques and (Relevant experience in Sourcing & Procurement)
  • Experience of working in complex project environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent supply chain performance.

You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
