SmartSky Networks, LLC is seeking a full-time Procurement Manager with the ability to work remotely. As a fast-growing, dynamic technology company there is great opportunity for professional growth with this hands-on role to lead the procurement function. Position requires a self-motivated and detailed individual with at least 5 years of experience in similar roles. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Supporting other departments in the generation of requests for proposals including finding multiple sources, establishing a quantified down selection process and negotiating pricing, delivery and final terms and conditions

2.      Designing and implementing business metrics to monitor, track and report on supplier performance to ensure that sourcing efforts meet or exceed business goals and objectives

3.      Working with other departments to resolve procurement related problems which may include import/export problems, delivery performance, quantity changes, quality or reliability issues, and obsolescence issues.

4.      Managing the generation of Purchase Orders for the procurement of both custom and off the shelf products including the review and approval of related invoices.

5.      Developing and implementing procurement standard operating procedures in support of company objectives and an AS9100 Quality System.

 

Desired/Required Skills, Qualifications, and Work Experience:

1.      Previous experience in a startup environment highly desired including experience generating procurement processes/procedures

2.      Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills

3.      Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, and have a good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

4.      Previous experience implementing and or using Net Suite ERP system is a plus

5.      Previous Aviation Experience is a plus

6.      Previous Government contracting experience is a plus

7.      Previous AS9100 experience is a plus

 

Required Certifications/Licenses/Degrees:

1.     APICS certification is a plus

 

Desired Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
