McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Procurement Intern Summer 2023 in Global Corporate Headquarter located at 24 Schilling Road. This is a 10-week internship (June 2023 – August 2023) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Description / Responsibilities

This position will report directly to the Procurement Manager and offer hands-on experience in researching and analyzing external market conditions. Candidates should have strong desire to learn various skillsets associated with the procurement function and be flexible and open to all assignments. Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing current portfolio of suppliers and spend
  • Analyzing management of existing contracts and technical specifications
  • Examining current global business requirements
  • Examining the external market conditions that impact McCormick’s sourcing decisions

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with graduation date between December 2022 and June 2023
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business or Supply Chain
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) for on-going contact with internal customers requires
  • Strong analytic orientation, capable of performing data analysis and creating stories out of data sets required
  • Ability to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, and show strong self-motivation and initiative required
  • Demonstrated organization and planning skills with ability to handle details required
  • Strong computer skills are a must. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is required
