Internship Overview

Springs Window Fashions is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Procurement Team! The Procurement Internship provides an exciting opportunity to assist the team with project support while providing valuable work experience related to your chosen field of study. Our paid internship program is known for having in-depth, challenging project work with cross-functional teams, as well as professional development, job shadowing and other growth opportunities.

Internship Projects And Responsibilities

• Commodity Strategy:
• Summarize & Collate Spend Data Available at a SKU level from SWF Data Bases
• Populate Existing Commodity Template with applicable data
• Research and calibrate with commodity managers on major cost drivers related to strategies
• Research/Identify applicable indexes or data inputs related to major cost drivers and add to templates
• Populate SWOT/PEST Templates based on research related to relative commodities
• Identify and document major stakeholder relationships for commodity
• Commodity Index Correlation:
• Evaluate major indices affecting major commodity spend at the SKU level
• Determine indices impact at a SKU level for all major commodities as outlined in commodity strategy template development
• Establish a mode of capture of receipts of each sku by commodity and associated indices
• Develop a reporting template for indices reporting
• Populate Existing Commodity Template with applicable data

Preferred Qualifications

Requirements

• Previous internship experience in relevant function
• Pursuing a 4-year degree with preferred current standing of Sophomore/Junior level
• Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office (add excel/analytics for certain roles)
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written and attention to detail)
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
