The ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok seeks to fill the following position:

Procurement Assistant, based in Bangkok

We are looking for a spirited team player with a can-do attitude to join our dynamic team.

The incumbent supports the Procurement department of the Bangkok Logistics Support Centre (BLC) in all aspects for Procurement. He/she follows up operational and support requests from the delegations covered by the BLC.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

P2P Process Support

  • Manages and monitors the Process to Pay of the BLC according to Procurement rules and regulations.
  • Assists clients throughout the steps from the receipt of requests, to the receipts to the payment to the provider.
  • Manages the day-to-day contact to PCMs, Lead buyers, other procurement staff and suppliers for transactional activities (Selection Table, Request for Tender, Contracts etc) and for operational issues.

Technical Support

  • Oversees the Procurement STM of the BLC.
  • Ensure the opening and maintenance of the electronic filing (ProFiles) ready for validation.
  • Provides to the management defined performance indicators of client delegations on a regular basis (source Tableau).
  • Participates actively in the integration of sustainability procurement options for the BLC.
  • Provides Procurement data and key performance indicators as needed.

Compliance and Administrative tasks

  • Provides guidance to clients for administrative and compliance support throughout the P2P cycle.
  • Participates in the execution of the BLC’s Support and Accountability tasks according to the BLC’s Service Level Agreement.
  • Participates in the establishment and maintenance of the department’s risk and internal control system.
  • Performs the controls to mitigate the identified risks.
  • Participates and drafts MoMs for the monthly procurement Asia townhall meetings.
  • Participates and drafts summaries for the BLC management of other Procurement related meetings, seminars as required.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of Procurement seminars.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Good command of English.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a supply-chain or administrative support position.
  • Considerable experience with the procure-to-pay process.
