Procurement and Logistics Manager, Ukraine

12 month fixed term contract

The total starting salary package for this position is £46,860 GBP per annum (approx. $58,514 USD) per annum (including basic salary, and allowances)

About the role:

The Procurement and Logistics Manager will be responsible for procurement, asset management, fleet management, inventory management, premises and facilities and IT within the MAG Ukraine programme. The post holder will develop the procurement strategy, and manage the end to end procurement process, as well as implement a logistics operational platform during the scale up of operations. They will also be responsible for developing and setting up the required policies, procedures and systems to ensure the long-term success of the function. The successful candidate will also lead on the set up of the Procurement and Logistics team, recruiting, training and managing all locally recruited logistics staff in the programme. They will also be required to provide strategic support to the Programme SMT in all areas of project implementation pertinent to Procurement, Logistics and IT.

About you:

You will have experience of coordinating all aspects of a robust supply chain and will have proven record of implementing and managing logistical controls to support the operational requirements of a project or programme. You will also have experience of working on procurement and invoicing processes. You will be able to manage and capacity build a team of locally recruited staff and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of ethical purchasing guidelines and INGO standards. You must have the ability to develop and maintain clear record keeping systems, to monitor supply chain and asset management and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate, plan and prioritise activities. Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills, effective negotiation skills and the ability to communicate with clarity and credibility on paper and face-to-face are essential.

You must be innovative, determined, flexible and proactive with a problem solving approach where systems can be improved. You will be committed to the highest quality standards, with the ability to handle and prioritize a heavy workload. Attention to detail, specifically with regards to paperwork / equipment is essential. You must be able to meet deadlines, to work calmly under pressure and to integrate into a varied team, while establishing effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally. Finally, the successful candidate will have an interest in and commitment to MAG’s humanitarian and capacity building mandate and the ability to represent and promote MAG.
