WHERE
YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

You
will, as a member of
 our Technology Solutions Group, this Analyst is responsible
for supporting software applications that advance the operations and reporting
of Bain’s Private Equity practice. The analyst will play a critical role in
troubleshooting and solving user inquiries, performing routine updates and
driving enhancement requests.  The position will gather overall
product insights through tracking key metrics and user feedback, ensuring
stakeholder needs are fulfilled

Product
Maintenance & Analytics (50%)

• You will
support PEG Operations stakeholders by answering questions and troubleshooting
issues, attempting to find the root cause and escalating when required

• You will independently makes complex manual updates based on incoming
requests as well as utilizing personal judgement

• You will run periodic user surveys to track satisfaction as well as areas for
improvement

• You will track and analyze key metrics, summarizing insights and findings

• You will test routine updates and enhancements to ensure necessary functionality
continues to work and are user friendly

Manage
enhancement requests (40%)

• You will elicit requirements on small – medium sized requests, working with
users to determine underlying request and potential solutions

• You will transform these requests into actionable work with user stories,
process flow diagrams, and other supporting materials

• You will work with appropriate technical teams and third parties to complete
these items, continuously communicating with key stakeholders

Develop domain knowledge
(10%)

• You will utilize domain knowledge and comprehensive system understanding to
act more independently

 

Qualifications

Associate’s/Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training is
required. 2-4+ years of progressive experience (2+ years’ progressive), 1+
years’ experience in a requirements role (e.g. B.A.) and 1+ years’ working with
technical teams required.

Practical
experience in gathering and interpreting user needs, and defining, documenting
and validating requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with a passion for understanding and addressing customer needs. Quickly grasps
new requirements, technologies, tools and concepts and the ability to problem
solve and take initiative on multi-faceted projects/responsibilities are all
required.
