About you

As a Privacy & Data Protection Manager you like to be a driving force, to get things done. You think building good collaboration with multiple stakeholders in both IT and other activities motivates you.

The role

Working closely with an international team of dedicated colleagues, you support Nordic offices in ensuring that it is compliant with the legal framework applicable to data protection, serve as a DPO to the Nordics and take on responsibility within this field. This function is key to ensuring the self-regulation of the Nordic sections as intended by the GDPR.

Management positioning

While this position does not manage a team or a budget, this is a senior position. The ability to uphold minority positions to enforce their application within senior management, as much as external representation to lead official authority inquiries requires a senior management profile. Within the organization, irrespective of departmental/unit structure, this position is frequently working with senior and middle managers. The position has the authority to rule on significant decisions with regards to Privacy and Data Protection, as delegated by the General Director(s), and in close cooperation with the concerned managers.

We are looking for you with

-Genuine interest in and commitment to the humanitarian principles

More than 2 years of working with data protection and privacy matters with good knowledge in interpretations of the data privacy/protection laws (such as GDPR).

Microsoft Office 365 applications and meeting facilitation in MS Teams

Speak and write English fluently at professional level

Sufficient IT knowledge and understanding in terms of data storage, retrieval, and information security, managing systems such as OneTrust.

Experience from communicating in both cross functional teams and at global level

Available for travels within the Nordic countries

Valid work permit in any Nordic country

To be successful in the job, you should have the ability to lead and work independently. You should be capable of explaining your area of work to people with different level of IT knowledge.

It is valuable if you have

Data protection qualifications such as BCS/ISEB, CIPP/e or CIPM or other relevant certifications

Documented experience from process mapping, documentation, and workshop facilitation

University Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration and/or IS/IT Management

Experience from an international organization, preferably an international subsidiary/ office in a Nordic country

OneTrust Certifications

Experience in Project Management or Process Management or System Management and Governance

Knowledge in any of the Nordic languages is valuable

Employment terms and conditions

Position can be based in any of the Nordic countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland)

Type of contract: Temporary for 12 months, full time contract with possible extension for a permanent employment

Salary and benefits will be determined by the country location (set salary according to MSF salary policy) For example, if based in Sweden the salary is 39 414 SEK/month.
