Size & Fit is growing multi-disciplinary group of data scientists, engineers, business developers and product managers based in Zurich and Berlin working to provide customers with game-changing size and fit advice.
About The Role
Matching clothes to human bodies is one of the most challenging and multifaceted problems facing online fashion. Join us to leverage cutting-edge technology and deep empathy to help customers find the right size and fit the first time.
You will work collaboratively with data scientists to design algorithm-based digital experiences — from size recommendations to fit visualizations. You will influence and bring to life the Size & Fit product vision, helping us inspire customers with industry-leading size and fit advice. You will lead multidisciplinary teams through the Solution Design phase of both large and small product development initiatives.
You will leverage ML to and VR to deliver real-world value. While the bulk of your efforts will go into the B2C customer experience, you will also think strategically about e.g. how our e-commerce platform might deliver sizing-related value to brands, how we might leverage influencers to talk about fit, and/or how we can get more accurate (article and body) data. You’ll break ground in serving a wider variety of body shapes with better size advice and more inclusion fashion shopping experiences.
As a thought leader and/or role model, you will contribute to the Zalando Product Design community and the larger Europeean design industry through sharing practices, mentoring or teaching colleagues, defining design principles, bar-raising in design reviews, and sparking inspiring conversations.
Ultimately, you will enable customers to get the right fit, return less and reduce carbon emissions, positioning the Zalando platform as their first destination for personalized size and fit experiences.

- Your love of designing technology products is eclipsed only by your empathy for human emotions — ensuring that geeky tech and forward-looking virtual and augmented experience design serve real human needs.
- You have worked on ambiguous strategic projects, are able to create clarity, and can guide team members through such projects.
- You can quickly understand and give structure to new challenges; shape meaningful project briefs, know how to orchestrate quantitative and qualitative user research to collect insights and test hypotheses, and align diverse business stakeholders behind a common vision.
- You are most happy hands-on, working at both a strategic level (e.g. by defining a customer experience vision or design principles) through sketching user flows to wireframing high-fidelity interaction design patterns.
- You can imagine developing a passion for fashion .
