Our client is a leading global sovereign wealth fund, based in Abu Dhabi. They are looking for a Principal to join their global hedge funds team. The fund has a great track record and access to the top managers in the world.
Responsibilities
- Participate in formulating the investment strategy, portfolio planning and investment processes for opportunistic co-investments in hedge fund portfolio
- Responsible for building a base of relationships, across the globe, with proven GPs managing funds covering a wide range of strategies
- Carry out thorough and comprehensive off-site and on-site due diligence visits / examination of the GPs as regards their performance track record, investment strategy and processes
- Participate in managing the GP relationships relating to the portfolio of hedge funds
Your Profile
- Prior experience of investing into external hedge fund managers (i.e. manager selection / fund-of-hedge funds) in developed markets
- Excellent knowledge of the hedge fund industry
- Good knowledge of securities analysis and macroeconomic overlays
- Strong academics, including preferably an MBA
- Advanced statistics and excellent written and spoken English
