How will you make an impact?

This role will facilitate implementation of the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System, primarily within SG&A functions in Korea, to enable profitable growth, intensify the customer experience and increase employee engagement.

What will you do?

[Practical Process Improvement Lead]

• Lead/work with functional teams to streamline processes to improve the customer experience, enable profitable growth and become more efficient.
• Help teams identify new projects through value stream mapping, data analysis and daily management systems. Coordinate the project funnel to keep an ongoing queue of projects to meet productivity goals and ensure Actual versus Target is regularly reported to key partners.
• Enable improved connections between functional teams on PPI initiatives with key group and divisional partners and teams to accelerate improvement outcomes.
• Diplomatically cultivate an action-biased culture of continuous improvement to improve Key Performance Indicators, in the areas of customer, finance, people and quality.
• Provide support to develop problem solving capability within the organization at all levels
• Train, coach and follow-up with sponsors, champions and teams to ensure system improvements are sustained and the collaborators are able to run the processes independently
• Work closely with business leadership and PPI steering committees to identify ways to accelerate the culture change vital to support the PPI Business System.
• Facilitate transformation efforts (Kaizen, VSM, Projects) to deliver Key Performance Indicator and Profit & Loss (P&L) improvement results.
• Establish and mature the Lean Management System (tiered daily management systems, leadership, Gemba walks, other PPI/LEAN tools and other coaching tools to transform the culture.
• Communicate success stories and ensure benchmarking and implementation of standard methodologies are carried out in the organization.

[Project Manager]

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant partners and ensuring technical feasibility
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project timeline and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Manage the relationship with all partners
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
• Host conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency

How will you get there?

[Education]

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, operations or business.

[Experience]

• PPI (Practical Process Improvement) Business System Manager 2+ years of experience in an operational excellence capacity with proven experience applying lean tools on a specific project and influencing cross-functional partners is preferred
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a non-manufacturing environment (Finance, Customer Service, etc.) preferred
