Position Summary:

Creative Associates seeks a Power Platform Developer to join the Application Development team. Application Development is an innovative team of professionals who are dedicated to producing technical solutions in support of the organization’s mission. This position is fully remote.

The Developer will use technical excellence and adept analysis to produce high-quality custom solutions for various enterprise business processes in the Microsoft Power Platform. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to carry solutions from conception to implementation, facilitating business analysis through conducting solution design, diagramming, development, testing, and production deployment.

The incumbent would play a key role in advancing business goals across the company and is not limited to any specific unit or department – allowing the incumbent to be exposed to many facets of the business. The incumbent will have the opportunity to learn new and emerging cloud technologies, as well as having the opportunity to participate in development of various systems, languages, and platforms in a team that supports professional learning and development.

Reporting & Supervision:

This position reports to the Technical Lead, Application Development.

Responsibilities

  • In service of the business, develop custom, high-quality, scalable, and dynamic applications in accordance with Applications Development policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Design, develop, and maintain model-driven solutions according to business requirements, including entities, processes, security roles, model-driven apps, and other solution components.
  • Design and build Power BI dashboards. Build Power Query queries, write DAX, and implement compelling visuals.
  • Develop Power Pages/PowerApps portal pages leveraging data from Dataverse/Model-Driven apps.
  • Develop canvas apps as needed to supplement model-driven app scenarios.
  • Interact closely with business users to perform full-lifecycle development including requirements management, solutions development, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Provide accurate level of effort estimations and ensure on-time project delivery. Maintain communication with stakeholders and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Build custom integrations with other systems utilizing data import/export, Data Flows, and/or Azure Data Factory.
  • Conduct front-end code customizations in Power Platform, including JavaScript/HTML.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation of processes and solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications– Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working as a developer, administrator, or other related technical position.
  • Expert in Dynamics CRM/Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)/Model-Driven Power App/Dataverse/CDS custom entity development including fields, relationships, forms, views, and other custom entity components.
  • Demonstrated success developing Business Process Flows, Cloud Flows (Power Automate/Flow), Workflows.
  • Proficient in JavaScript/HTML customization of CRM/Model-driven Power Apps forms.
  • TypeScript/React and PCF control development experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Demonstrated success developing dynamic Power BI Reports – Power Query, DAX, interactive visuals.
  • Strong familiarity with Dataverse/CRM security including roles, teams, permissions levels, sharing.
  • Experience using xRM ToolBox plugins to help facilitate solution development.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Team Foundation Server (TFS), or similar work item management software.
  • Occasional travel to Creative’s Headquarters office for collaboration, rollout, teambuilding, or other reasons may be required from time to time.
  • Understanding of database normalization and data structures – particularly in Dataverse/CRM context.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly and handle ambiguity. Possess capacity to handle multiple ongoing tasks/projects.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle, specifically Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with accounting and finance processes, systems, and data structures preferred
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical ability.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience developing Paginated Power BI reports and SSRS reports a plus.
  • Dataverse C# plugin development and GitHub experience is a plus.
  • T-SQL scripting, SQL server experience is a plus.
