We are looking for a Portfolio Management Trainee willing to join our team!

Are you interested? Have a look at the main activities you will be tasked with.

Main responsibilities

The trainee will be placed in the Portfolio Management area of Falck Next Energy and will have support on the following activities:

  • Analysis of commodity markets (power, gas and EUA);
  • Analysis of financial markets;
  • Development of hedging strategies for the group’s power plants;
  • Support in the negotiation of energy and environmental certificates;
  • Development of quantitative tools to assess and hedge risks on the industrial portfolio;
  • Development, in collaboration with the Origination team, of pricing models and methodologies related to the group’s PPAs.

Profile

  • Quantitative/financial background;
  • Knowledge of Black&Scholes and Monte Carlo models;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good skills in quant analysis;
  • Knowledge of MATLAB and/or PYTHON programming languages is a plus.
