About I-PAC
Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) is India’s first & largest cross-party political advocacy group, widely credited to have revolutionized election campaigning in India.
I-PAC is the platform of choice for students and young professionals to participate in and make a meaningful contribution to political affairs, grassroot development and governance of the country without necessarily being part of a political party. Started as Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) in 2013, I-PAC has brought together some of the best minds from diverse academic and professional backgrounds and has provided them with a unique opportunity to closely engage in the election process and influence policymaking in India.

About the Role:
PIU is set up with an objective of detecting the political pulse of different demographic, geographic and legislative entities through a series of rigorous primary and secondary research initiatives, political liaising, unique and sovereign ground-level networking with relevant stakeholders, investigative intel gathering methods and sourcing of qualitative and quantitative data. The team works at the intersection of qualitative and quantitative information and deconstruct electoral dynamics, ground realities and socio-political narratives. PIU vertical at IPAC is responsible for gathering political acumen, collecting neutral perspectives and providing original and independent political insights to measure the ground realities, electoral dynamics and political stakeholders. It is also in charge of translating these data points to build a comprehensive repository which could give a 360-degree overview of the political campaign at hand and offer key suggestions to improve the tenacity of decision-making process during the campaign
Job Responsibilities:
- I-PAC is looking for dynamic go-getters who thrive in a high-octane fast-paced work environment to take up the role of Analyst/Senior Analyst for the political insights team
- Keep an active tab on all the key political and government development in the State’s and Nation’s politics to devise campaign and electoral strategies
- Build networks with politically aware individuals and political stakeholders to periodically and sustainably gather nuanced information
- Do the rigorous research groundwork to define the course of all key decisions during the election campaign
- Design and develop well investigated reports for states, assemblies and parliamentary constituencies with a keen inquisitive approach towards the past and current political scenarios of the county/various states
- Perform extensive archival and historical research to dwell deeper into the regional and national political narratives with a more contextualized lens
- Utilize probing, fact-finding and analytical orientation couple with exceptional communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, and highly developed collaborative nature to provide the required strategy primers
- Use primary and secondary research methods to provide background to an electoral strategy and political speeches of the leaders at different levels
- Coordinate with other teams at I-PAC and various stakeholders to provide necessary strategic inputs

Minimum Qualifications:
- Full-time Post Graduate or Under Graduate degree from premier institutes preferably in Humanities/Social Sciences/ Political Science/Journalism/Public Policy/Research Background/Law & Legal Studies
- Awareness about various research methods like focus group discussions, survey methods, ethnographic studies
- Working experience in development sector, policy and research think tanks, government, NGO and social sector within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must possess good analytical skills and the ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite specifically
- Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Interest in politics would be preferred and a great add on
- An ability to multitask tasks of various nature from documentation, research, excel analytics, presentation, networking et al
- Preferably someone who knows and is well versed with Telugu

The base location is Hyderabad (Candidate should be open to travel to field office location as per project requirements)
