EURATEX IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A POLICY OFFICER – SUSTAINABLE BUSINESSES.Main tasks:
Participate in projects and initiatives to implement sustainability policies; Developing and coordinating the industry position on key sustainability topics (e.g. circular economy, due diligence, traceability), including preparation of briefings, position papers and communication; Monitoring the development of EU sustainability policies, assess the relevance for the industry; liaising with EU institutions and other relevant stakeholders; Communicating with EURATEX Members in the relevant sustainability areas; Support the department Director in performing his duties.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of relevant experience, specifically in EU policy making; Strong interest in areas of sustainability and circular economy; Knowledge of the textiles and clothing sector will be considered an asset; Fluent in English; other European languages an asset; Master degree in economics, law, political science, or equivalent through experience; Strong communication skills, sense of diplomacy, positive inter-personal skills, team player.
The successful candidate will report to the Director for Sustainable Businesses and join a small team of 3 staff. Ideally, the position is to be filled as soon as possible.
