Child's i Foundation

Background

A small international non-profit organisation with a big impact, Child’s i plays a critical role in a global movement to ensure that every child grows up in a family not an orphanage.

Working in Uganda, we are developing a roadmap for sustainable alternatives to orphanages: truly social services run by and for communities to strengthen families. We believe this model can be taken across global borders to help all children grow up in a safe, loving family.

Child’s i Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Policy Officer to join our team. As a Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in documenting practices to develop policy briefs, thereby contributing to evidence-based care reform initiatives in Uganda. Additionally, you will act as the main liaison officer for documentation with partner organizations and potential partners working in social protection within Uganda and globally. Working closely with the project managers, the MEAL department, Head of Programmes, CEO, and Hope and Homes for Children, you will collaborate to finalize a roadmap that explains how care reform can be achieved in the Ugandan context.
