In a nutshell, the role holder is responsible for leading in the design and delivery of best in market Plastics Fraud strategy (Debit and Credit Card). The primary output is to deliver fraud strategies that protect customers across the Plastics Fraud typology. This is to be achieved within all regulatory & policy guidelines.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Deputising for the Fraud Strategy Manager
  • Ownership, design and delivery of first line Fraud strategies including:-
  • Debit Card Plastic Fraud
  • Credit Card Plastic Fraud
  • Continued optimisation of associated Fraud strategies to respond to ever changing marketplace & regulatory landscape
  • Partnership with industry experts in creation of leading-edge strategies to combat fraud
  • Utilising existing and new data sources to minimise both fraud loss and customer disruption
  • Effective challenge of decision scoring tools provided by the Group Risk team / External suppliers
  • Represent the bank in key engagements with regulators and industry bodies as required
  • Supporting transformational fraud decision initiatives

To be successful you’ll need to bring

  • Extensive experience in a Fraud Risk Strategy management position.
  • Proven track record of delivering Fraud protection across typologies
  • Expertise in Fraud Risk strategy including policy, scoring, rulesets, operations etc.
  • Experience of building Fraud strategies using innovative new technologies to support new product development.
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to condense and simplify complex information to brief and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • Balance a strategic mind-set with a willingness to be hands-on with the process.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build business relationships with colleagues throughout the bank
  • Creative thinking, intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage various management team / other stakeholder expectations
  • An ability to influence change in a positive and collaborative manner and turn ideas into practical solutions
