Job Description

Mobility is increasingly managed by different services, e.g. route planning, parking, charging, or other services on the go. Also, cloud-based services are used to predict the road situation and to warn about road hazards or adverse weather conditions.  

Recent Web 3.0 technologies enable open, and trusted services based on self-sovereign identities and trusted data sharing. These give the user control over identity, credentials, and data. The focus of this position is to build and to evaluate a platform and tools using Web 3.0 blockchain-based credentials and trusted data exchange. This is pursued in a large, collaborative research project with leading companies and research organizations  

The main objectives are: 

  • Conduct research that is related to mobility services and data exchange using latest Web 3.0 for self-sovereign identities and blockchain-based technology. 
  • Contribute to the project with demonstrators and evaluation as in collaboration with the project partners. 
  • Discuss with DENSO-internal R&D teams to collect feedback and help applying project results in product development and related research.
  • Collaborate and coordinate research activities with partners in academia and industry in Europe and Japan .
  • Assist in project management and administrative tasks when occasionally assigned by the project manager. 

 

Qualifications



  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, data science, or related disciplines. 
  • Highly motivated and keen on working in an international and interdisciplinary team. 
  • Research background in the following fields (ideally demonstrated by scientific publications) are preferred: 

      – Web-Applications  and Web 3.0 

      – Software engineering for cloud and edge computing  

      – Understanding of Blockchain technologies and identity management 

      – Connected vehicle technologies such as networking. 

  • Programming skills in at least one programming language, e.g. Java or Python. 
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of German is not required but preferred.
