The Payments & Payroll Officer will be given the opportunity to assist in the general administrative

duties related to Payments, Payroll and HR of a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate is expected to

show an eagerness to grow in his/her career and a willingness to build a lasting relationship with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the processing of bank transfers on behalf of clients to the respective suppliers and other beneficiaries;

  • Liaising with banks to ensure that the executed transfers and payments are being processed;

  • Assisting members of the client payroll team in preparing and executing payroll for multiple clients includincollecting data from timesheets and rosters and inputting data on payroll software;

  • Liaise with clients’ request and queries;

  • Perform the distribution of wages through issuance of cheques or direct transfers to employees’ bank accounts;

  • Assist clients with the onboarding and offboarding process of their employees including submission of employee information to JobsPlus;

  • Ensure that client employee records are kept up to date and in line with employment and data protection regulations;

  • Assist in filing single work permit applications;

  • General administrative work and other duties emanating from the role.

Requirements:

  • A minimum A Level standard of education with at least 1 year’ experience in a similar role;

  • Holders of Payroll and/or HR related qualifications will be given preference;

  • Knowledge of one or more payroll software tools coupled with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel;

  • Knowledge of Maltese Employment law and HR systems such as BambooHR, Indigo and the like, would be considered an asset;

  • A 5-star customer service attitude, ready to work with different clients and surpass their expectations;

  • Excellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written;

  • A proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal departments;

  • Ability to work as part of a team, assisting others where necessary to ensure all deadlines are met;

  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision;
