Patient Administrator | Spire Murrayfield | Edinburgh | Band 3 | Full time and permanent

We are looking for three Patient Administrators to join our friendly Main Reception team here at Spire Murrayfield. This role will suit someone who would like a challenging and busy role with plenty of variety.

These are full-time and permanent positions, with working hours operating on a shift pattern for the department. Working hours will be between the hours of 7am – 8.30pm Monday to Friday Saturday 7-7pm, and 8am – 5pm on Sundays. Flexibility will be required to work alternate Saturdays and one Sunday every 4 weeks.

Duties And Responsibilities Are But Not Limited To

  • Welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, to the hospital
  • Processing in-patient/out-patient charges, including the accurate collection of credit card details
  • Booking follow up appointments
  • Taking payments for patient invoices
  • Managing the hospital switchboard
  • Undertaking various clerical duties
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all information

Who We’re Looking For

  • Someone who is highly organised and accurate and works well to tight deadlines
  • Experience in a similar environment would be beneficial but by no means necessary as full training will be provided
  • An excellent communicator
  • Experienced in using an in house computer software package
  • A team player confident in interacting across a diverse range of people
  • Educated to at least Standard Grade or equivalent.
  • Initiative, commitment and attention to detail.
