Here’s where you come in:

As the Partnership Senior Researcher, you will lead the creation and realization of the Partnership Research Approach with its new Go-No Go mechanism enabling World Vision (WV) to prioritize and invest efforts in new research strategically in full consideration of the internal and external research priorities and gaps.

You will be responsible to develop multi-year research plans, work closely with the Field Offices and Support Offices to identify top priority research themes in consideration their external engagement plans to ensure that any new research is designed in full consideration of its target audience and respective needs to bring full added value. You will be expected to independently develop quantitative or mixed methods research designs, develop data collection tools, analyse collected data, develop research reports as well as help with the development of various research-based materials to demonstrate WV’s unique value preposition. It will be critically important to ensure a due balance in generating learning across fragile/Disaster Management to development contexts and programming to manifest WV’s richness in contributing to well-being of children.

Requirements include:

  • MA or equivalent in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Humanitarian Assistance or any related field
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in independent research
  • At least 5 years of proven experience of leading quantitative and mixed methods research
  • Proven experience of building collaborative relationships
  • Proven record of quality research proposal development complemented with a high win rate
  • Effective in written and verbal communication in English
