Job Responsibilities:

The Partnership Senior Officer will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key stakeholders, with a focus on Northwest Syria (NWS). The Partnership Senior Officer will play a critical role in identifying, developing and maintaining partnerships with international and local organizations, donors, and other key stakeholders in the Turkey mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new partnerships with organizations, donors, and other key stakeholders in NWS, in line with the organization’s objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing partners, ensuring that partnerships are strengthened and sustained over time.
  • Develop and implement partnership strategies and plans that are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with other departments and teams within the organization to ensure that partnerships are integrated into overall program planning and implementation.
  • Represent the organization at relevant meetings, conferences, and other events, building the organization’s profile and reputation among key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all partnerships are implemented in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and international humanitarian principles.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of partnerships, providing regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that partnerships are well-documented and that appropriate records and data are kept.
  • Be aware of the security situation and the access constraints in North West Syria and adapting the partnership accordingly
  • Remain informed about developments in IHR and the Turkey mission, and share relevant information and insights with the organization’s teams and partners.

Qualification (education/work experience)

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in partnership management, development, and/or coordination in the humanitarian response sector.
  • Strong understanding of the humanitarian response to crisis in Syria, particularly in the NWS region.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including international organizations, donors, and local partners.
  • Experience in proposal writing, fundraising, and grant management would be an advantage as the Partnership Senior Officer will be responsible for identifying and developing new partnerships with organizations, donors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, as the Partnership Officer will be responsible for leading and coordinating the team efforts and ensuring that partnerships are integrated into overall program planning and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement partnership strategies and plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is a must, fluency in Turkish is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment and to adapt to changing circumstances.
