TEAM PURPOSE

Oxfam in Poland is working with more than 10 local/national NGOs across the country to support the refugee fleeing the war in Ukraine with protection programming, access to information, cash for protection, WASH services, and facilitating the enjoyment of their basic rights and access to lifesaving services. Oxfam’s partners in Poland are placed in various locations including but not limited to Lublin, Warsaw, Poznan, Przemysl, Nowe etc.

In our partnerships, we engage with NGOs, women’s organizations, networks, academia and research institutions, government authorities as well as UN agencies responding to the refugee crisis in the country. Through its work with various actors in Poland, Oxfam intends to facilitate local leadership and capacity sharing.

The partnership team leads and facilitates the partnership processes with the different actors we work with, including mapping of potential partners, capacity and due diligence assessments, establishing partnerships with eligible organizations, supporting partners in project implementation, capacity sharing and learning exchanges, joint follow ups and support as relevant, and other needed interventions to support the partners lead the refugee response program in Poland.

Job Purpose

The Partnership Officer will lead on liaison and coordination with the different organizations we work with, and actively support the partners in their day-to-day project implementation as per agreed project plan and budgets. The person will be responsible for effective communications with the partners, coordination of capacity strengthening and exchange processes, providing and/or mobilizing support to partners, facilitating visibility of partners’ work, coordination among partners and Oxfam technical teams etc.

The role will assist the Partnership Coordinator in the effective scoping and building of (new) partnerships, managing and maintaining partnerships, incl. providing support to joint programming and advocacy activities, as well as reviewing and revising partnerships, as relevant for the program.
