Background:

Woman Support Association is a humanitarian, developmental, and non-governmental organization that was established in 2013 and officially registered in Turkey in 2015. All projects implemented by the Association in Syria and Turkey aiming to build a better life for women and empower them so that they can face problems and challenges in a way that maintains their dignity and respect.

Overall Role:

Under the supervision of the Chairman, the partnerships officer will be mainly responsible for networking with potential partners / donors in order to obtain new grants.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for obtaining new partnerships and grants through the proper networking with the potential partners and donors.
  2. Review and complete partners’ grant agreements.
  3. Organize and coordinate kick-off meetings for main grants and partners’ agreements.
  4. Effectively and promptly communicate with each grant’s focal point in order to keep up to date with the project implementation.
  5. Represent WSA in the donors / partners meetings and perform the required communications.
  6. Effectively share grants information with all concerned employees in order to have a clear understanding of the organization’s operations and the funders’ requirements and expectations throughout the grant’s life cycle.
  7. To be the point of contact with partners / donors in case of inquiries about adherence to the partnership.
  8. Provide support to programs’ staff and ensure the adherence to WSA’s and the partnership’s policies and procedures.
  9. Participate in preparing project proposals and budgets for all sectors.
  10. Support the Senior Program Officer in reviewing the key funding and budget strategies in line with required policies / procedures.
  11. Work closely with the WSA’s staff to ensure the understanding of the donors’ requirements, build their capacity about the best practices (procurement, finance, reporting, protection, etc.) and ensure their commitment to the agreements.
  12. Work with the project manager to ensure successful implementation of the grant’s processes and to establish key controls to support effective grant management and compliance with donor requirements.
  13. Monitor the grants’ progress and preparing reports like (Programs, M&E, Finance and Tracking of Funding Reports).
  14. Organize and conduct periodic meetings to review grants with the concerned grant officials.
  15. Support the plans’ implementation to address any potential performance issues through information management and reporting results.
  16. Coordinate reporting processes to ensure high reporting quality and on time completion.
  17. Identify any potential issues and requests for modification; ensure donors are informed about them promptly.
  18. Ensure strong and comprehensive records are maintained for all grants to fulfill audit requirements.

Competencies, Skills & Experience:

  • Over two years of proven experience developing and managing multi-year budgets.
  • Clear reporting experience.
  • Have good negotiation, interpersonal decision-making and team working skills
  • Have organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines.
  • Computer skill, especially Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to the changing of work practices and hours.
  • Fluency in the English language orally and in writing

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field.
