This role will assist in all aspects HealthPREP@Emory Summer Program to provide an educational summer program for learners. The employment period is February – July 31, 2022. This is a part-time position slated for 20 hours per week.

General Position Responsibilities:

  • Report to the HealthPREP@Emory Program Director.
  • Manage HealthPREP application procedures.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for event & activity planning associated with HealthPREP.
  • Manage incoming inquiries via telephone or email.
  • Arrange and confirm HealthPREP appointments.
  • Engage with staff and learners to facilitate a collaborative, positive, and fun environment.
  • Lead by example to ensure positive working relationships with and among staff, learners, and campus administration.
  • Record HealthPREP@Emory learner attendance.
  • Ensures that activities are effectively implemented.
  • Work weekly required hours and attend staff meetings.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provides administrative and logistical support for projects, initiatives, and programs within an NGO environment.
  • Assists assigned managers and team members by maintaining calendars, receiving and composing communications as correspondence, and replies to inquiries.
  • Handles preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for domestic and international travel.
  • Drafts contracts, budgets, and donor reports with direction from manager.
  • Processes financial documents including contracts, expense reports, invoices, etc.
  • Writes routine reports and correspondence, and assists with the development of project/program materials.
  • Organizes meetings and events.
  • Works with and maintains data management and filing for projects/program.
  • Serves as an administrator of work product with other programs/departments, i.e. finance, program development, public information, etc.
  • Liaises and communicates with project consultants and field office staff, providing logistical and administrative support, as directed.
  • Conducts research and provides support to one or more staff members in regards to project and programmatic efforts.
  • May supervise work study students and volunteers.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent AND five years of administrative experience, OR a bachelor’s degree. Proficiency with various personal computer software applications.

  • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Self-discipline, high professional and ethical standards.
  • Initiative, sound judgment, and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Great work ethic. The will and passion for getting the job done.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet scheduled due dates, and remain organized.
  • Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills- written and verbal.
  • Proactive problem solver with a positive attitude and high energy.
  • Thorough understanding of the college admissions process.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Be available during the entire duration of the program (Pre-Program: February-May 27, 2022 and Summer Program: May 30 –July 31, 2022).
  • A personal laptop capable of email, editing spreadsheets, and accessing the internet.

NOTE: Tasks related to this position can be performed remotely with only occasional supported visits to an Emory University location. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
