As HR Payroll Administrator (part-time) representative at Bunge, you are the ‘’all-around expert’’ for most employees’ questions and requests. Besides always being accurate in the organization, implementation and monitoring of the payroll process, you are also a ‘go to’ person for inquiries around social security, labor, operational pension scheme as well as regarding all questions about payroll. Accordingly, you are successfully maintaining the personnel master data and time management in corresponding systems and digital tools that include billing programs, time recording software & Mercer.
More on the role:
You will join our HR Mannheim team and report directly to the HR Manager for Mannheim and Bruck (Austria). With the team of 3 other HR colleagues, you will be responsible for the administrative processing and control for HR and payroll related information for all 1000 employees located in Germany. Our team is always making sure that we cover the whole employee life cycle and that we make sure the employees are happy with our HR service delivery.
By now, you might wonder what your targets will be in this role? Our HR team aims for excellence in payroll integration and centralization (as of 2022), compliance with taxes & labor law, always informing our employees and management well and creating efficient workflows.
Other responsibilities include:
Daily, you will be busy with all activities related to payroll management in Bunge’s payroll program and SAP. Because you will work with various external (correspondence with authorities, social security institutions, other relevant offices) and internal stakeholders, you will become the contact person for our employees, students, trainees, interns, and temporary staff. Some of the questions/request you can expect to get include pension insurance issues, as well as about company shares and wage garnishments and administration of in-house pension and voluntary benefits.
Additionally, you will be involved in:
- Creation of subject-specific evaluations, reports and statistics on sick leave, employee lists, ad hoc evaluations;
- Processing of the certification and reporting system;
- Administrative support activities, like maintenance of employment contracts;
- Recruitment and onboarding activities.

Are you the colleague we are looking for?
Besides having an excellent eye for detail, you are very accurate in your work. In your previous HR Payroll & Admin experience(s), you have learned a great deal on German labor law and payroll legislations. We would prefer to recruit a more junior (2+ years of experience) employee. This vacancy is available for part-time (25 hours).
- The pre’s for this role is previous experience in a similar role (preferably in production-oriented working environment) and excellent knowledge of English and German language.
- Additionally, we hope you will bring a Secondary school leaving certificate or Abitur and excellent ability to work with automated HR systems (we use ADP, SAP, Success Factors, ATOSS Staff Efficiency Suite, Microsoft Office and other).
