Job Description: The Fundraiser works closely with the field coordinator. Prior experience with Offene Arme OR willingness to volunteer in the field prior to the starting date is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research potential donors and fundraising opportunities
- Ensure OA meets donor requirements
- Determine a fundraising plan and objectives by quarters
- Keep track of timelines of proposal, expression of interest, application deadline and their responses
- Submit updates to existing donors with proof of payments
- Develop private fundraising tools for past volunteers
- Writing quarterly grant proposals
- Managing profile of current and past donors
- Attend a weekly meeting to update Field Coordinator.
Key Requirements:
- Availability to come to Chios for minimum 1 week before start-date
- Fluent in written and spoken English (professional level) & Greek/German is desirable
- Experience in fundraising
- Computer literate (Google docs, Google sheets, Canva)
- Understanding of the purpose, goals and role of Offene Arme on Chios
- Strong time management, attention to detail and organisation skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Understanding and knowledge of the situation on Chios and across Greece
- Ability to follow the code of conduct
- Strong communication skills
Reports to: The Field Coordinator
Duration: Minimum of 4 months desirable 6 months
Hours Per Week: 7.5 to 10 hours a week depending on capacity
Location: Remote
Benefits: Working expenses e.g internet, free accommodation for up to 1 week in Chios during handover and orientation.
