What’s Your Role

The Paid Search role is specifically responsible for leading General Mills’ Paid Search Optimization strategy and execution, ensuring our brands are at the forefront of future search capability on site. The role will focus on direct day-to-day investment management on PPC platforms within retailer sites (primarily on Grocery.com and potentially Amazon), managed through third party platforms. Additionally taking learnings from this to provide advice and insight to the Brand teams on wider shopper marketing plans, Google SEO and Ad Words strategies. This is a key role which has a strong interface with both the Marketing and Sales functions.

Key Accountabilities

Build and execute a brand and retailer level performance marketing (PPC) strategy.

Own the paid search investment and execution on retailer sites across the full brand portfolio in the UK.

Manage the day-to-day search budget across retailers and brands.

Manage third party platforms and agency relationships in order to execute and analyse the strategy, as well as stay close to any new developments.

Lead internal reviews and ROI analysis with local sales and marketing teams to optimise media investment.

Track and build insights on competitor media (PPC) activity.

Engage cross-functional stakeholders to integrate the impact of PPC into our share of shelf and share of search KPIs.

Partner with the rest of the Connected Commerce team to provide best-practice guidance to local marketing on activation across both SEO/SEM.

Engage with external agencies to understand upcoming changes and opportunities and build relationships to gain learnings and benchmarks.

What You Can Bring To The Team

Agency or Client-side media planning and buying experience within Paid Search and Performance Marketing including SEO expertise.

Budget management experience, capability to manage budgets across multiple brands.

Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence in a complex matrix.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with high attention to detail.

Data driven with strong analytical skills.

Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised to keep project timelines on track.

A passion for E-commerce is preferred and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
