What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering packaging costs for new business initiatives.
• Supporting the design and optimization of custom packaging solutions.
• Defining vendor sourcing strategy by commodity type and pharmacy location.
• Collaborating with the Project Management and Business Development teams to ensure packaging is in place to support launches of new products and locations.
• Managing vendor relationships and resolving performance issues related to price, quality, and supply.
• Creating contingency sourcing plans to ensure packaging material supply is uninterrupted.
• Developing improved reporting to track metrics such as pricing trends, spend by vendor, and spend by material.
• Developing packaging spend budgeting and forecasting processes with Finance.
• Supporting the integration of packaging materials into an inventory management system.
• Making recommendations for sourcing, system, and process improvements.

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years’ experience in packaging materials purchasing
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Healthcare and/or retail packaging industry experience strongly preferred.
• Outstanding communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Expertise in Google Drive and Microsoft Office suites of applications
• Experience using IM/WM systems
• Demonstrated ability to thrive with ambiguity in a fast-paced, complex work environment. Someone successful in this role will be proactive in engaging stakeholders, can learn quickly, and works with autonomy.
• Ability to travel 25%
