This role is for a D elivery A nalyst to help support the development of our organisational performance reporting , measurement and evaluation. This reporting will help hold the organisation to account in measuring our progress, monitor outcomes in markets, as well as driving organisational effectiveness. 

This role will act as a bridge between Business and Data. You will be working with the product manager to shape the reporting dashboards, MI owners to bring together the knowledge of operational and performance data from across the organisation, and other technical specialists to understand how to measure and report on FCA’s strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Communicating with multiple teams across the organisation to understand the current use of MI and working towards its alignment across the FCA.
  • Being involved in definition of key metrics to understand teams’ performance and progress towards strategic outcomes.
  • Developing deep understanding of internal FCA data and business processes.
  • Exploring the data gaps and creating strategies to address them.
  • Designing and building Tableau dashboards based on scoped requirements in accordance with data architecture best practices (i.e., in a way that reduces the need for manual processes and eliminates data silos where possible) .
  • Supporting the project team .

Skills/Experience Required

We’re a signatory to the Government’s Disability Confident scheme. Minimum

  • Evidence of s trong analytical skills , with the ability to present issues in a logical and simple way
  • Experience of presenting complex issues to senior leaders and respond to their feedback
  • E xperience using BI visualisation tools, particularly Tableau, and building automated productionised dashboards

Essential

  • Experience combining data from multiple sources and transforming data for analytical purposes using SQL or a data transformation tool (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau prep).
  • Basic ability to write SQL queries.
  • Experience translating business requirements into dashboards.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across the organisation.

Desirable

  • Experience of financial services regulation and an understanding of FCA processes that underpin how the organisation operates
  • Basic experience using R or Python
  • B usiness change management

Salary – £70,000 – £85,000 + Benefits package

The FCA is currently trialling a new hybrid way of working, requiring colleagues to spend 40% of their time in the office each month until the end of July. This trial period will allow us to identify the most appropriate balance of hybrid working, enabling us to benefit from the best of both working in an office environment and remotely
