The Safety and Incident Response Team is looking for individuals who exhibit strong empathy, positive attitude, and calm under pressure skill sets in a fast-paced working environment. These individuals will use their customer service and strong communication skills to aid in streamlining communication and operational incident response case management. This internship will start in Spring 2023.

The Role

Start: Early Spring 2023

Length: Early Spring 2023 until End of July 2023

This is a paid internship

An intern in this position will work closely with the Safety and Incident Response Team to help communicate with Tour Directors when operational incidents occur on tour. Your main role will be to assist with case management to support the Operations teams needs for the different tour products EF Tours produces for American and Canadian travelers. You will get firsthand exposure to the EF Tours Safety-First Program for all our products and a holistic view of how our business operates.

Main Areas Of Responsibilities

  • Answer all calls that come into the Operations Emergency line then open operational cases and assign to the correct specialist by division
  • Liaise with teammates across departments to ensure consistency of cases and case management procedures
  • Provide on-tour support and assist with the operational tasks required to produce a tour
  • Provide immediate assistance to Tour Directors for travelers requiring COVID-19 isolation and necessary operational needs
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Procurement, Tour Success, Invoicing, and the Tour Director Department to provide a beautiful customer experience
  • Assist the Safety and Incident Response Team with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Complete fluency in English, both written and oral
  • Japanese language skills are a plus
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and act immediately
  • Strong service mind and listening skills
  • Great team player
  • Positive attitude and empathy for others
  • Good judgement – ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated
  • Calm under pressure
