We have developed a mobile savings model that allows farmers to invest their own funds in high-quality seed, fertilizer, and agricultural training to increase their harvest and income by 50-100%. About the Role:

myAgro seeks an experienced leader for the role of Operations Director in Côte d’Ivoire. You will oversee the daily operations of our program, ensuring its efficiency in reaching and supporting small farmers. You will also help drive expansion, innovation, and establishing myAgro as a leader in the agricultural sector.

Goals for Next 2 Years in Cote d’Ivoire:

  • Scale: Achieve program growth, reaching 500 farmers in year 1 and 17,500 in year 2.
  • Impact: Increase the average impact per farmer from $150 to $550.
  • Sustainability: Enhance financial sustainability through improved processes and efficient staffing ratios, supported by excellent training and management.
  • Organizational capacity: Build a capable team by recruiting and training, and investing in the professional development of Cote d’Ivoire leadership.

You Will:

  • Manage all aspects of the core program, including developing operational processes, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and staff management.
  • Lead the expansion of the program to reach 500 farmers in the first year and 17,500 farmers in the second year.
  • Develop and implement an HR incentive structure that aligns with myAgro’s budget and HR laws in Côte d’Ivoire.
  • Collaborate with the Policy team on myAgro’s government strategy, focusing on sharing our work, gaining buy-in, and exploring new opportunities.
  • Lead a team of 15+ staff, expanding to 50+ in the near future, to ensure the delivery of a high-quality program throughout the country.
  • Guide myAgro’s strategy, collaborating with the COO and executive team on program strategies and targets.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local financial management standards.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program progress and identify opportunities for improvement.

You Have:

Required Experience:

  • French and English proficiency
  • 5+ years of professional work experience with at least 3 years in an organizational leadership role.
  • The ability to work with limited resources and adopt a hands-on approach.
  • Preferably your background is a mix of corporate and non-profit roles with experience implementing projects in developing countries.
  • Experience managing large budgets, collaborate with external partners, and lead teams.
  • A passion for supporting smallholder farmers and improving their livelihoods.
