Duration: Approx 2 months, hourly rate with a maximum of 40h/week.

Dates: February 25th – April 31st, 2024

SCOPE AND NATURE OF THE SERVICES:

Relief International (RI) oPt is looking to hire a consultant to support RI in setting up our office in Ramallah and our response in the WB and Gaza. Reporting to the oPt Team Leader, the consultant will work closely with the Regional Supply Chain Director, the Regional Security Director relevant RI and partners’ staff involved in the design of RI’s programme in oPt, to facilitate the operational set up needed for both our office and operations.

The consultant is expected to be able to carry any of the following tasks:

  • Set up the Ramallah office as per identified checklist from Regional Office, including procuring any needed items and working with the landlord to replace and/or get furniture needed as per agreement.
  • With support from the RSO SCO Director , update RIs standard operating procedures for the country office, including supply chain and logistics.
  • Establish a local vendor lists/ requirements of local authorities to support the purchase/ import of medical commodities
  • Draft bi-weekly updates on context, safety, security.
  • Represent RI with the local, district / governorate authorities, and in specific clusters (e.g. logistics clusters)
  • Liaise with local stakeholders in regard to security issues (Local Authorities, OCHA, ACU) and work with the team lead and regional security director on drafting the security management package
  • Draft recommendations internally in relation to compliance with local legal frameworks in the office set ups, including guidelines
  • Identify field office locations based on funding and manage negotiations
  • Manage and report safety and security incidents.
