The Role:

Oxfam GB is looking for an Operational Programme Manager. The purpose of the role is to oversee and ensure the delivery of the GRAISEA programme in line with planning, donor requirements and Oxfam policies and standards. The post holder will provide operational leadership and appropriate management support to the Programme Management Unit staff as well as working closely with staff in Oxfam country programmes and in technical advisory roles contributing to GRAISEA.

What we are looking for:

  • Post Graduate Degree or Degree with equivalent work experience from a recognized University/college in International Development or any other related area that can bring added value to the job
  • Substantial international experience of complex, donor-funded programme management, including budgeting, planning, programme cycle management, preferably in an international NGO/operational UN agency/equivalent
  • Experience of managing complex budgets in excess of $3M+ with excellent project financial management skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge/experience of the full project/programme management cycle
  • Experience of leading complex multi-stakeholder approaches and securing collaboration across organisational functions
  • Excellent people skills, with proven ability to motivate others in a multi-cultural environment and work collaboratively including supporting team members from a distance, requiring strong self-awareness and inter-personal skills.
