OKR process review and recommendations

1. Background and context

ACAPS was created in December 2009 with the purpose of improving the humanitarian sector’s approach to assessment and analysis of crises. ACAPS is hosted by Norwegian Refugee Council and governed by a consortium comprising Norwegian Refugee Council, Save the Children and Mercy Corps. There are around 115 staff and consultants working with ACAPS across the globe.

Since 2022, ACAPS’ senior management team (SMT) adopted the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework for setting goals for the teams and the organisation. This year, the OKR has been introduced across the organisation using Mooncamp platform. For better understanding and execution of the framework and the new tool across the different teams, it was decided by the ACAPS team to hire external OKR consultant to coach ACAPS’ SMT in reviewing and improving the current process.

2. Objective

To strengthen ACAPS’ planning process of goal setting and measurement of achievements through better use of OKRs and Mooncamp.

3. Scope of work and deliverables

Review ACAPS current planning process and provide recommendations for how to improve current practice including:

o Formulation of OKRs
o Indicators
o Periodical check-in practice
o Retrospective and planning of each cycle

Based on the review the consultant should advice the SMT on how to strengthen the use of OKRs in Mooncamp and formulate a workplan for the way forward.

Any additional activities will be agreed between the consultant and SMT.

4. Budget

Bids shall include daily rate for the expected number of working days (should not exceeded 15 days) for the given scope of work and proposed objectives.
