BRAC International is seeking application from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position:

Officer, HR and Administration, BRAC International (Re-advertisement)

The Officer, HR and Administration have both management and administrative responsibilities in the BRAC International Netherlands Office .S/he will act as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters and will deal with internal and external parties. Duties include maintaining records, preparing documents as per organizational procedure and Dutch law, and ensuring employees receive adequate support. The role will also support general administrative matters of the office including the organization of workshops, conferences and meetings in the Netherlands and support visa applications. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records including attendance and leave records for the Netherlands-based staff
  • Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, service providers and office equipment suppliers
  • Ensure legal compliance by Keeping policies and other documents up to date
  • Coordinate with the finance team in the preparation of monthly Payroll
  • Ensure smooth running of all routine administrative functions in the BRAC International Netherlands office
  • Arrange all travel and hotel arrangements for staff and visitors, including visas and work permits as applicable
  • Provides administrative support to the Netherlands-based staff and BRAC International global team for arranging workshops, meetings, and conference calls in the Netherlands
  • Support different activities during the onboarding of new joiners to ensure the orientation process is properly complete
  • Ensure resignation letters are received and final payment settlements are done on time in case of employee separation
  • Work closely and coordinate with BRAC International’s Human Resources team for recruitment and other HR activities

Safeguarding:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business Administration majoring in HR/Administration or relevant subjects.

Required Competencies:

  • Strong organization, financial and analytical skill
  • Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks
  • Outstanding problem-solving skill
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Dutch and English
  • Sound knowledge of Dutch labor law
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 year(s) experience in HR and administration
