The Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, a scientific Institute of international orientation, is looking to fill a position at the Office for Scientific Support at the Center for Humans and Machines: Office Manager | Focus: Recruiting and Onboarding (m/f/d) 39 hours per week, permanent contract
Your tasks
- Management of the recruiting processes for the Center for Humans and Machines
- Organization of hiring procedures, preparation of employment submissions, and contract extensions in close collaboration with the Institute’s HR department
- Administrative support for international guests
- Independent handling of correspondence in English and German
- Coordination of appointments
- Organization, preparation and follow-up of meetings
- Travel planning, booking, and travel expense accounting
- Independent, professional, and efficient office management in a small team
- Organization of events, meetings, and conferences
Your profile
- Successfully completed commercial or administrative vocational training, studies, or com-parable qualifications
- Relevant professional experience in HR and office management
- Sound IT skills, especially MacOS, proficient in the use of common email and calendar services as well as planning tools (e.g. Trello)
- Very good language skills in English and German
- Independence, sense of responsibility, quick perception, solution-oriented, ability to work in a team and flexibility
- High degree of social competence, experience in international working environment is an advantage
