Anchor Quest is partnering with a well-established national law firm looking to hire an Office Manager/Assistant Director of Operations to join their team of five attorneys and support their political law, nonprofit, and constitutional litigation practice groups located in Rosslyn, just outside of Arlington, VA.

The Office Manager will work directly with the Director of Operations and the attorneys. In this role, you will have significant responsibility for managing projects, maintaining a calendaring system to track deadlines, routinely communicating with clients via email, updating client files and draft correspondence to clients and third parties, submitting court and compliance filings, providing general administrative duties for the firm’s attorneys, and performing “office manager” duties for the Arlington office.

The Office Manager will play a critical role in identifying, developing, and implementing innovative processes, procedures, and technologies to improve the firm’s operations and client experience.

What you bring to the table:

  • Enthusiasm! A self-starter skilled at managing multiple demands
  • Knowledge of rules relating to confidential information
  • Proficiency in the use of standard audio & video conferencing tools (including Zoom, GoToMeeting, MS Teams)
  • Advanced skills in MSO, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Wrike Project Management software
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills to effectively meet multiple deadlines
  • Superior calendar management, meeting planning, and event planning skills
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive issues
  • Ability to exhibit initiative, dependability, resourcefulness, and creativity
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively with a group
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed or required by deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of Executive Support or Office Manager experience in a law firm or business services environment
  • Experience with calendar management, scheduling, booking travel, and managing expense reports
  • Manage multiple projects and track deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, update client files, and draft correspondence to clients and third parties
  • Play a critical role in developing and implementing innovative processes, procedures, and technologies to improve the firm’s operations and client
