Administrative staff members are our workplace super heroes and Oblon seeks a Jr. IP
Specialist to support its Chemical Practice group. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of client correspondence, as well as routine general correspondence; preparation and filing of documents to include Powers of Attorney, Restriction and/or Election Responses, Assignments, Drawings, Provisional Applications; Information Disclosure Statements and Related Case Lists; maintaining electronic case records to ensure that all pertinent communications/documents are saved in accordance with firm policies and other duties as assigned.
The responsibilities of this position will increase steadily with the goal being to have a complete understanding of patent prosecution and firm processes and procedures in order to provide full support as needed. Must type 50 wpm, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well with staff at all levels. Good verbal and written communication skills a must. IP experience a plus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Become familiar with our special client instructions procedures.
Work closely with the IPs and legal professionals to assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
0-3 years of related experience.
To successfully engage in basic business and interpersonal communication, both verbally and in writing as are related to required job tasks, whether with fellow employees or with visitors/vendors.
To effectively read, understand, verbalize and write in order to perform basic office tasks related to required job duties, while exhibiting a clear understanding of and facility to follow firm policies, client instructions, and/or information from professional entities such as the USPTO.
To accurately read, analyze and interpret routinely encountered inquiries while performing in the position, whether from clients (to include detailed client instructions), and/or from professional entities such as the USPTO.
To effectively read and correctly interpret documents that are routinely encountered while performing in the position, and to take correct action(s) in accordance with the content and procedures associated with the documents/correspondence and/or as instructed.
