PAC is an active NGO established in 2012, registered in Turkey, active in NWS, with other small operations offices in both Yemen and Sudan.

In NWS; PAC is a leading organization in both the health and Nutrition sectors through several central programs that work to improve the resilience of crisis-affected communities in NWS.

PAC’s programs always aimed to build and support the active health and nutrition systems in the target areas through maintaining a high level of integration across several sectors and leads central services to facilitate the provision of the service that other actors are running in NWS.

• Position: Nutritionist

• REPORTS TO: Project Manager

• PLACE OF WORK: NW Syria

• LANGUAGE: Arabic

  • Position Overview:

Treatment of malnourished cases detected during nutrition screening, check for danger signs and medical complications and referral them if necessary..

Main Responsibility and main support required:

– Detection of malnutrition cases in children from 6 to 59 months, pregnant women and Lactating mothers by nutrition screening.

-Treatment of moderate and severe acute malnutrition without medical complications in accordance with the approved protocols.

-Check for general signs of risk and medical complications in cases of severe acute malnutrition and refer them into the stabilization center if necessary.

-Filling out paper records for the treatment of malnutrition cases.

-Supervising the distribution of micronutrients and other nutrition supplements.

-Providing IYCF-E counseling and Key messages for caregivers, pregnant and Lactating women

-Supervise the community health Worker CHW to do their job.

-Ensure that cases of malnutrition are recorded and documented and the monthly reports are submitted.

-Ensure full compliance with COVID-19 prevention measures

-Follow public safety procedures while dealing with beneficiaries

-Attend scheduled training as needed.

-Commitment to the organization’s uniforms

-Maintaining the dignity of beneficiaries and the confidentiality of information

Qualifications:

  • General high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in nutrition and health.
  • Two years of experience in humanitarian work.
  • Training courses in related fields (CHW, IYCF, CMAM).
