Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first Italian healthcare-focused NGO officially recognized by Italian authorities.
Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, Doctors with Africa CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and the Central African Republic implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Nursing or equivalent title
  • Good knowledge of the French language; good knowledge of English is considered an asset
  • Strong professional experience; previous experience in nursing coordination is considered an asset
  • Solid experience at hospital level in fragile countries and/or low resources settings
  • Good ability to work in multicultural teams

KEY DUTIES
The TA Nurse is called to provide technical assistance to the Matrons in the management of nursing and auxiliary staff in terms of selection, training, supervision, and coordination.
Specifically, s/he will:

  • support the Matrons in the supervision of nursing staff
  • support the development and use of tools to improve staff management
  • collaborate in the management and supervision of nursing services to improve the organisation and quality of care
  • promote the identification of training needs and contribute to the development and implementation of the training plan aimed at improving clinical/caregiving skills
  • contribute to data collection in the area of expertise, including the preparation of reports
