Individual Night Host also may cover other periods of time when available and mutually agreeable between Night Host and House Manager and/or Executive Director. Night Host is flexible in all aspects of daily living, realizing that this staff position requires working in a community atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Re-set/clean empty guest rooms and complete other house-keeping tasks throughout the facility.
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Sweeping/Mopping
- Cleaning bathtub, sink and toilet
- Maintain safe environment for the families.
- Provide awake/alert coverage of the premises.
- Provide assistance during designated work hours.
- Follow lock-up procedures.
- Follow emergency procedures.
- Answer phone and respond to calls from the after-hours answering service.
- Transition and Report with other staff.
- Face-to-face transition with Evening Manager at beginning of shift.
- Complete required notes/report and have available for appropriate staff person at end of shift.
- Face-to-face transition with House Manager at end of shift.
Other responsibilities, tasks and duties may be assigned by the House Manager or Executive Director at any time. Requirements
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Be able to climb stairs.
- Be able to bend/kneel to floor level and level of bathtub.
- Be able to stay awake and fully alert during night-time hours.
- Be able to communicate in English.
