An exciting opportunity has a risen to join the acute stroke team in ward 42
We are currently seeking nurses who have a keen interest in stroke care and want to challenge there learning in the area of stroke .
Ward 42 is a 24 bedded Unit taking patients directly from A&E, MHDU and acute admission ward. The hospital delivers thrombolysis on a twenty four seven basis and there is exciting change coming with the development of the national thrombectomy service The ward has a close working relationship with the multidisciplinary team and provide patient centered stroke care
This is an excellent opportunity for 1st level Registered Nurses interested in developing knowledge and skills in acute stroke nursing. You must have excellent communication skills and team working abilities to work within a fast paced environment
You should be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and have a genuine interest in caring for patients with stroke.
Experience in caring for the stroke patient is not necessary as training will be given.
Various hours available rotational over days and nights working 11.5 hour shifts.
