Background

In collaboration with the iMMAP and NES ISWG coordinator, the HWG has been providing operational and technical assistance to improve health response specifically to ensure better COVID-19 response in North East of Syria. Those efforts are continuation of health system performance and providing lifesaving and life-sustaining health services to the people in need in NES’ governorates.The HWG with support of iMMAP and NES forum together with all health cluster partners and donors has put in place an effective coordination and implementation for activities related to COVID-19 response in the governorates of NES.

The incumbent will support the COVID-19 coordinator and HWG and to ensure the continuity and implementation of health information, interactive reports and geographic mapping systems necessary for the collation, tracking, and analysis of relevant intelligence and information related to health humanitarian action and emergency response to COVID-19 response and management.

Presentation

The Information management consultant (Officer) is expected to carry out the following tasks:

  1. As part of support to COVID 19 Emergency response Coordination team &HWG, the IMO (Officer) will collect, analyze and share key data related to COVID-19 response, in close coordination with HWG and NES Forum and alignment of approved tools for COVID-19 response monitoring and reporting. This will include follow up with COVID-19 treatment facilities and make sure they report relevant COVID-19 response data on monthly basis, generation of information products and data visualization such as Power BI (or other), daily alerts, weekly summaries and where possible support the automation of recurring analysis and reports to enable strategic planning and decision-making**.**

2. Provide timely and accurate health information to various reporting channels of HWG, NES Forum, the health cluster, and share the NES COVID-19 information with Whole of Syria health sector and WHO regional office to be fed into the COVID-19 dashboard after clearance from COVID-19 coordinator and HWG. The work involves to coordinate with wide range of relevant actors to receive reported data and to establish an efficient data collection system that allows analysis and presentation of information, this includes all the COVID 19 data and information related, (for example but not limited C19 Cases, testes, vaccination, RCCE, etc..)

3. Updating COVID-19 Supplies assessment and collecting/verifying /analyzing the COVID-19 Supplies(PPE, IPC, Medical equipment for COVID 19, Etc..) received from health partners on a bi-monthly basis according to the approved tools by NESHWG.

4. Support in coordination and follow up with COVID-19 testing labs/ sites including hospitals to track the testing supplies and reporting from the lab on PCR tests and hospitals on RDTs tests

5. Updating and maintaining critical databases related to COVID-19 response and their unique identifiers for all pillars and other information products that require updates with a defined frequency.

6. Preparing for and participating in the Covid-19 Task force meetings whenever required and in ad hoc meetings and workshops related to enhancing the COVID-19 data sharing and seeking to improve information sharing between partners, to strengthen access to information that reflect the COVID-19 updates from other stakeholders .

7. With close support of COVID -19 Coordinator in NES, HWG, , ensure that appropriate data related to COVID 19 Vaccination is collected, maintained and aggregated to be used for the NES COVID 19 reports related after clearance by the COVID 19 Coordinator and NES HWG team

8. Make sure to update the IPC in health facilities tools and interactive dashboard for IPC indicators assessment closely with Health, WASH WG/Actors inNES.

9. Organize and maintain GIS data and producing maps on COVID 19 and other matters/issues related to COVID 19 requested by COVID-9 coordinator, HWG and Task Force members.

1. Information products generated towards:

– Monthly COVID 19 related data analysis for Health WG bulletin/Sitrep

– Weekly COVID 19 related data analysis for WoS &Health WG circulation.

2. Interactive weekly and Monthly Dashboard for the COVID 19 data,

3. Create and update a COVID 19 Service Continuity Mapping, includes the statues of the C19 Treatment Facilities, RRTs and so on

Requirements

  • First university degree in information or data management, computer sciences, (database administration, knowledge management or geographic information systems), completed training with previous experience in the same field.
  • Use of Language Skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic/Kurdish is essential.
