North and West Remote Health (NWRH) are currently seeking an NDIS Administration Officer to join their team in Mount Isa, QLD

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing customer focussed client and stakeholder engagement, and efficient and accurate administrative support to teams delivering NDIS supports through the monitoring of NDIS Service Agreements and data management systems.

More Specifically, Some Of Your Day-to-day Duties Will Include

Intake for participants and response to enquiry about business and its services;

Upon referral received, meeting with the client/nominated person, and identifying needs and preferences of services;

Managing current active service agreements;

Working alongside the NDIS Administration Officer to monitor client management systems and processes;

Reviewing support logs, consolidating and providing feedback to clinicians and team leaders for data cleansing and accuracy;

Implementing NDIS quality improvement activities; and

Conducting regular training and feedback for NDIS staff members to ensure billing and time keeping is accurate.

Who are we looking for?

  • To be considered for this position, you will have previous experience in the NDIS and/or disability sector or a related health sector. While demonstrable experience in a similar administrative based-position will be highly regarded, if you have good time management and organisational skills, high attention to detail and can work in a busy office environment, NWRH are happy to teach you the rest!
  • With high level written and verbal communication skills, you will be confident in your ability to establish effective rapport with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including NDIS participants.
  • Ideally, NWRH are looking for someone with excellent computer literacy, a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work both autonomously and in collaboration with others, who is also capable of working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Please note: It is a legal requirement that you hold a valid Blue Card prior to commencing work in this field. You will also need to have your:
  • Senior First Aid Certificate; (or willingness to obtain);
  • Disability Services Exemption (Yellow) Card or NDIS worker Screening;
  • Influenza and COVID vaccinations; and
  • Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s License.
