Context
The Communication Officer (Audiovisual) will be responsible for supporting the Communication & Advocacy team in the production of human-interest stories, videos, photo essays and any other audiovisual products requested to showcase UNICEF impact and highlight the role of UNICEF partners in supporting UNICEF programmes. An essential role that this position will play in the team will be to coordinate the documentation activities with the photography and videography UNICEF suppliers. In addition, this position will also be responsible to produce documentation videos and similar products (pre-production, filming, and editing). The role will entail frequent visits to the field and participation in high level events if video documentation or other coordination roles are needed. Task description
Under the direct supervision of Chief of Advocacy & Communication, the UN Volunteer will: • Support the Communication & Advocacy team in the production of human-interest stories, videos, photo essays and any other audiovisual products as requested. • Coordinate the documentation activities with the photography and videography UNICEF suppliers through following up on the content production tracker. • Production of videos and similar products (pre-production, filming, and editing). • Support the production of human-interest stories in both English and Arabic languages. • Support the different Advocacy and Communication pillars in performing tasks with relevance to multi-media production, programme coordination and any other needs as requested.

Requirements
Required experience
3 years of experience in in Communication, journalism and content production, film making or other relevant fields at the national and/or international level; experience with news agencies is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization. • Proven working knowledge of professional video editing software is mandatory. • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, script writing skills; • Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing; • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners and beneficiaries at different levels. • Familiarity with conducting field visits for stories and other multimedia content gathering. • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel; • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment; • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines; • Sound security awareness; • Have affinity with or interest in child rights and youth engagement, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
