Department Profile
Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures, and markets.
A Mutual Funds Wealth Management Associate will support and provide assistance for all functions in the trading department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ability to handle a high volume of requests in a fast-paced environment and meet the various trading deadline and price protection deadline.
- Work with asset managers to resolve trade rejections
- Review/Process mutual fund trade requests from the field
- Troubleshoot live mutual fund order entry issues and inquiries from the field
- Process sweep settlements
- Review inquiries from various other internal departments regarding accounts, trade activity and reconciliation breaks.
- Provide oversite within Institutional Money market trading
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education or experience
- 2 or more years of industry experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent judgement
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to research and resolve problems and escalate when appropriate
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite
- Be self-motivated and able to work in a strong team and high activity environment

Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week. #LI Hybrid.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 51000 and 85000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
